With over 20 years of experience spanning admissions and international education, Emily is passionate about using AI to enhance, not replace, human connections. She believes in the transformative potential of AI to create inclusive, personalized pathways for students while ensuring that the heart of education remains human-centered. Through her work at Loyola University Chicago and her efforts to build a community focused on ethical AI, Emily is at the forefront of reshaping the future of college admissions.

  • Sebastian Brown

    Sebastian Brown is a hardworking and charismatic leader with a Master's Degree in Higher Education-Student Affairs and a Master's in Business Administration - Location Analytics. He is passionate about educating, empowering, and inspiring high school and college students. Sebastian enjoys using innovative, data-driven decision-making and leveraging spatial analysis to help his team achieve and surpass their goals. Additionally, he is a dedicated soccer coach with a strong desire to develop the next generation through sports, teamwork, and self-discovery.

  • Myra Castro

    Myra Castro is a seasoned college counselor with 30+ years of experience guiding students at a variety of public and private high schools and as an independent educational consultant (IEC). As the Technology Coordinator for the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), she plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s technological initiatives. In addition, Myra is a dedicated faculty member for NACAC’s Professional Certificate program, where she helps train the next generation of college admission professionals.

  • Jeff Neil

    Dr. Jeffrey Neill is a forward thinking visionary in college counseling committed to student-first approaches to helping students grow. As Director of College Counseling at Graded - The American School of São Paulo, Jeff brings a wealth of experience in international education, ensuring that each student finds the best fit for their future. With a focus on individualized counseling, he is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally. Jeff's approach combines data-driven insights with a deep understanding of global education trends and innovative AI practices.

  • Carol Langlois

    With over 20 years of experience in higher education leadership, Dr. Carol Langlois has held roles as Dean of Admissions, Associate Provost, and VP of Enrollment. In 2016, she successfully exited her first edtech startup after it was acquired. Since then, she has been consulting for universities and edtech startups. In addition, she also serves on the boards of a select number of edtech companies as an equity advisor. Since 2023, she has been the Chief Academic Officer for ESAI, an ethical AI admissions tool designed for teens, counselors, and parents. She holds a BA and MA in Psychology, as well as a Doctorate in Education.

  • Jasmine Solomon

    Jasmine Solomon is a leader in undergraduate admissions at NYU, driving technology innovation across the university’s global campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai. As Senior Associate Director of Systems Operations, she oversees technical systems supporting over 150,000 applicants annually, ensuring a smooth process for students, families, and staff. Jasmine integrates AI-driven tools to enhance admissions, continuously evaluating new features. Beyond NYU, she serves as a Slate Community Ambassador and Common Application New Member Mentor. With over 15 years of experience and a Master’s in Higher Education from NYU, Jasmine  is committed to guiding ethical implementation of AI tools in college admissions.

  • Emily Smith

    Emily Smith is a lifer in the higher ed tech and consulting space, and has worked with the enrollment, recruitment, admissions, and student success organizations of over 500 institutions in more than 20 years. She is a rehabber of systems and processes, implementer of technology, innovator of Student Search efforts, and creator and deployer of enrollment strategy. Emily hosts the VineDown, the podcast that explores the intersection of humans, tech and admissions/enrollment with candor, humor, and occasional curse words. Emily currently works at CollegeVine, the company deploying AI recruiters who proactively recruit students as individuals instead of as part of boring or approximate segments. She is passionate about enabling admissions staff to pull out of soul-crushing reports, and return to building transformational relationships with students and families.

  • Elena Hicks

    Ms. Hicks is the Assistant Vice Provost and Dean of Admission at Southern Methodist University (SMU), overseeing first-year, transfer, and international admission processes, as well as the Division’s call center and 1-stop services. Ms. Hicks recently completed a term on the executive board of the Coalition for College and continues to serve on the board and national committees for the College Board. Prior to SMU, she was Dean of Admission at Loyola University Maryland and held key roles at Saint Mary’s Hall and Texas Christian University.

  • Becky Mulholland

    Becky Mulholland is the Director of First-Year Admission & Operations at the University of Rhode Island (URI), overseeing off-campus recruitment, application review, merit awards, and system administration. She serves on the CommonApp Advisory Committee and the Rhode Island Math Collaborative. Previously, she was the Director of Enrollment Management and Diversity Initiatives at Yale School of the Environment and worked in admissions at Penn State. With experience supporting diverse student populations, Becky holds an M.S. in Global and International Education and is a certified Kingian Non-Violence Trainer. As a first-generation, full Pell recipient, she advocates for the use of technology in college admissions to expand opportunities for students.

  • Daniel Lopez

    Daniel Lopez is a dedicated educator and college access advocate with extensive experience as a teacher, college advisor, and program leader. He has served in one of Texas' largest school districts and fostered statewide partnerships in Massachusetts. Driven by a mission to revolutionize education, Daniel works to ensure more students discover their passions post-high school while helping educators avoid burnout and extend their careers. As the host of The AI Education Conversation podcast, Daniel has dedicated over 1,000 hours to exploring how artificial intelligence can transform the future of education.

  • Micheal White

    Michael White has been a dedicated higher education administrator with experience spanning several decades at a small private college, a major research university, and a Pennsylvania State University. He specializes in student recruitment technology and currently manages the Slate CRM system for undergraduate, graduate, and international admissions at Slippery Rock University. Beyond technology, he has spent countless hours advising and mentoring high school and college students.

    Michael also serves as President-Elect (2024-2025) of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC), where he is committed to advancing the organization's mission in support of school counselors and admission officers. His goal is to ensure that college admission and counseling professionals have the knowledge and tools to navigate AI’s ever-evolving role in higher education enrollment. goes here
